The 2016 District 11 Senior All Star match was held on Friday night, June 17th, at Freedom High School. The match pitted teammates against each other and gave these seniors one more chance to represent their high school. The match required all 5 sets as Team 1 (Grey) outlasted Team 2 (White) 3-2 (26-24, 22-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-10).
2016 Distirct XI Senior All Star Match Program
The 2016 season came to a close on Saturday night in Exeter as the Trojans fell to state powerhouse Hempfield 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-5). The loss ends Parkland's attempt at back-to-back state championships. The loss also brings an end to the senior classes high school careers which saw them win 4 straight league titles, 3 straight District XI titles and 1 PIAA championship. The Parkland boys volleyball program has a lot to thank the 12 graduating seniors for. The leadership, commitment and community involvement has lasting affects which will be seen for many years. We (coaches, parents, fans, administration and everyone else who has followed your progress) thanks you for the enjoyment you've provided us.

The quarterfinal match-ups have been set and the times and lcoations have been released.
Parkland will take on Hempfield at Exeter High School at 4:00pm. There are two AA matches held at Exeter prior to the AAA match.
At Exeter High School12:00pm - Holy Redeemer vs York Suburban 2:00pm - Northeastern vs Nanticoke 4:00pm - Parkland vs Hempfield
Parkland and Council Rock North faced off once again in the PIAA AAA 1st round. Fortunately for the Trojans, they came out on top again, this time 3-0 (25-17, 25-14, 25-19). The win moves Parkland to the PIAA AAA quarterfinals against Hempfield who was a 3-0 winner over LaSalle College High School. Andrew Hillman lead the way with 7 kills, 3 aces and 13 assists. Garrett Weigel added 7 kills and 2 blocks while Kyle Stout chipped in 6 kills.
Next up will be another state playoff game against Hempfield (#3 AAA) on Saturday at a time and location to be determined. Last season, Parkland defeated Hempfield 3-1 in the PIAA AAA semifinal.
