Trojans down Canaries 3-0

Parkland was able to complete their week of back-to-back-to-back matches with their third straight sweep, closing out the week with a 25-13, 25-12, 25-10 win over visiting Allen.  The win moves Parkland to 8-4 (6-2 EPC).

Next up for the Trojans is another long trip to Pocono Mountain West on Tuesday.  JV will start at 4:00 pm, and Varsity is set to begin around 5:15 pm.

Parkland grabs win over Delaware Valley

Parkland hosted District 2 Delaware Valley in a non-league match in their second match in as many nights.  Parkland put together their best performance of the year in the 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-11) win.  Josh Nation (Sr. OH) led the offensive attack with 11 kills while adding 3 aces and 1 block.  Bear Jacobs (Jr. MH) added 6 kills and 2 blocks, Jude Ruisch (Jr. OPP/OH) added 5 kills and 1 block, and Alex Schoch (Sr. MH) also added 5 kills, 5 digs, and 3 blocks.  Gabe Chase (Jr. S) handed out 34 assists.  Owen Barnett (So. L) collected 6 digs.  The win moves Parkland to 7-4 (5-2 EPC) on the year.

Next up for the Trojans is one more match this week, tomorrow, at home vs Allen.  JV is set to start at 5:30 pm and Varsity beginning around 6:45 pm.

Parkland down PM East 3-0

On Monday night, Parkland took the long ride to Pocono Mountain East and left with a 3-0 (25-13, 25-12, 25-16) win to improve to 6-4 (5-2 EPC).  Everyone available for the Trojans saw time on the court and contributed in many ways.  Josh Nation (Sr. OH) led the offense with 9 kills and added 3 blocks while Ty Brunnabend (So. S) and Gabe Chase (Jr. S) dished out a combined 31 assists.

Next up for the Trojans is another match tonight at home against District 2's Delaware Valley.  JV will begin at 5:30pmand Varsity will start around 6:45pm.

Trojans finish 9th at Koller Classic

A battled and bruised Trojan team traveled to Central York High School on Saturday and played in another tough, state-wide powerhouse tournament.  In pool play they finished 3-5 splitting with Red Lion, defeating State College, before losing to Cedar Crest (#4 AAA) and Shaler Area (#6 AA).  In their playoff round, they were defeated by Central York (#2 AAA) to finish 9th.

Also, congratulations to the Parkland JV team for finishing 3rd in the Koller Classic JV Tournament on Friday night.

Next up for the Trojans is an away match on Monday at Pocono Mountain East.  JV will begin at 4:00pm and Varsity beginning around 5:00pm.

Trojans grab win over Easton

Parkland got back on the winning track on Thursday night with a 3-0 (25-21, 25-17, 25-8) win over visiting Easton.  Ty Brunnabend (So. S) stepped into the setter role and dished out 32 assists and added 1 ace.  Josh Nation (Sr. OH) collected 13 kills, 3 blocks, 8 digs, and 2 aces while fellow senior Nick Bauer (Sr. OH) added 7 kills, 8 digs, and 1 ace.  Defensively, Owen Barnett (So. L) contributed 26 digs and 3 aces.  The win moves Parkland to 5-4 (4-2 EPC).

Next up for the Trojans is the Koller Classic at Central York HS on Saturday where they will face some of the best teams in the state of PA.  They will see Red Lion, Cedar Crest (#4 AAA), State College, and Shaler Area (#6 AA) in their pool.

Trojans fall to Whitehall in dramatic fashion

In a repeat of last year's EPC and DXI finals which saw Parkland win both, Whitehall flipped the script this year, downing the visiting Trojans 3-2 (25-23, 21-25, 16-25, 25-22, 15-10).  The win moves Whitehall to 6-1 while Parkland falls to 4-4.

Next up for the Trojans is a home match against Easton on Thursday. JV will start at 5:30pm and Varsity beginning around 6:45pm.

Parkland downs Dieruff in 4

Parkland returned to the court for their second match in as many nights.  This time they traveled to Dieruff for another EPC matchup.  The host Huskies played very inspired and scrappy defense, frustrating the Trojans all night but in the end, the visiting Trojans came away with the 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22).  The win moves Parkland to 4-3 on the season (3-1 EPC).

Next up for the Trojans is another huge EPC showdown with Whitehall on Tuesday, April 8th.  JV will begin at 5:30pm and Varsity around 6:45pm.

Trojans fall to rival Hornets

Parkland and Emmaus battled on Tuesday night in a hotly contested match.  In the end, the host Hornets grabbed the non-league win 3-1 (22-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-21).  Parkland was led by Josh Nation (Sr. OH) and his 14 kills, 2 blocks, and 1 ace.  Owen Barnett (So. L) anchored the defense with 10 digs.

Next up for the Trojans is a quick turnaround today at Dieruff.  JV will begin at 5:00pm with Varsity set to start around 6:00pm.
